| Trained
in three dimensional arts I carved a career within the glass
industry. My recent work concentrates on a body of paintings
involving landscapes and natural forms from the area around my home in
rural Yorkshire. The theme behind the paintings derives from my interest in layering seasonal colours captured by natural light. This presents itself in a deep texture creating a third dimension on the canvas encouraging the viewer to experience the image from other angles and feel the instinct of wanting to explore. Like the subjects of the paintings each work changes with varying light, the shadows and reflections generating new appearances to further the viewing pleasure. |
