| My work revolves around the human form, in the shapes, body
language,
and ambiguity that I find there. I enjoy using mixed media, especially
collage with paint. The combination of emotional frailty in a strong healthy body has always fascinated me. I try to give my subjects a sense of ‘emergence' from their backgrounds, which creates a form of interesting tension. My empathies lie with such artists as Jenny Saville and Lucian Freud. |
